Once you’ve decided to hire me, the payment terms depend on the package you’ve selected:

• Elopement and Wedding Packages: For bookings more than 60 days away, I require a 40% nonrefundable retainer to hold your date and time on my calendar. The remaining balance is due 21 days before your ceremony. You’re welcome to make payments anytime through your online client portal.

• License Signings: These are paid in full at the time of service with cash.

I’ve got you covered! I’ve built a trusted community of Michigan officiants that I network with and refer to in emergencies. In the rare cases I’ve had to cancel (only twice due to illness), I personally found a replacement officiant, paid them, provided them with the couple's ceremony script, and ensured they connected with the couple before the big day.

I don’t just leave my couples hanging. I’m fully invested in their story, their ceremony, and making sure everything goes smoothly. Their special day is as important to me as it is to them.

Yes, absolutely! I call it a Sequel Wedding. It’s everything you’ve dreamed of in a real wedding—rituals, vows, rings, and all the magic—just without the license. Please note, it’s illegal to perform a “fake wedding ceremony,” so I’ll just need to see a copy of your original marriage license before the wedding.

Yes! For couples who have contracted me with the Wedding Package (not the Elopement Package), we’ll set up a time to meet on Zoom 3-4 weeks before your wedding. During this meeting, we’ll go over everything one last time, and I’ll send the ceremony over for your review.

I want you to love it and feel completely confident knowing exactly what I’ll be saying. No surprises, like singing, “obey” vows, or embarrassing first-date stories!

Not at all! I specialize in creating ceremonies tailored to each couple, whether you want a completely secular ceremony, a blend of cultures and faiths, or new traditions and rituals unique to you. I love working with couples to design something meaningful, personal, and one-of-a-kind that truly reflects who you are.

Life is busy, and I’m here to help make it easier! During our initial consultation, we’ll touch base about the marriage license process. About 6 weeks before the ceremony, I’ll send you an email reminder with a link to the correct county clerk’s office so you’ll have plenty of time to gather your forms and make an appointment.

On the day of the ceremony, just bring the license with you, and I’ll handle the rest! After the ceremony, I’ll complete and submit it to the county clerk’s office. Once that’s done, I’ll follow up with an email to let you know it’s been filed, so you can rest assured everything is taken care of.m description
